2011. gada 6. un 7. maijā OSCar eO komandas „mazais sastāvs″ viesojās Zolderas autotrasē Beļģijā, kur risinājās pasākums „Clean Week 2020”, kas vienuviet pulcēja bezizmešu transporta entuziastus un profesionāļus no visas Eiropas. Sēdāmies pie stūres vairākiem no visjaunākajiem elektro automobiļiem un izbraucām apli pa Zolderas trasi. Tā kā ar elektroauto braucām pirmo reizi, tad iespaidi un secinājumi bija ļoti vērtīgi un noteikti palīdzēs arī OSCar eO būvē.
Apskatījām un izpētījām visdažādākos elektriskās piedziņas velosipēdus, trīsriteņus, pasta mašīnas, pārbūvētus ielas auto un arī šosejas sporta auto, ko būvējis uzņēmums eWolf uz angļu Radical sporta auto bāzes.

Here are the photos from the sunny and hot Saturday, May 7th 2011 that we spent at the Clean Week 2020 event in Belgium (Zolder Circuit) exploring the world of electric cars — talking with people who have built electric race cars, test driving Nissan LEAF, electric bicycles (and tricycles), and enjoying the silent power of electric future.
On April 28, 2011 we received the batteries for OSCar eO from Winston Battery — our main supporter!
Maija sākumā OSC mājvietu Ogrē veiksmīgi sasniedza Ķīnas kompānijas „Winston Battery” sūtījums – trīs akumulatoru komplekti OSCar eO un testa automašīnas būvei. Izkraušana notika OSCar eO konstruktora Andra Dambja uzraudzībā. Pazīstamais rallijreidu automašīnu autors ar prieku secināja, ka akumulatori bez problēmām pārcietuši ceļojumu pāri okeāniem un sasnieguši OSC bez bojājumiem. „Pavisam esam saņēmuši 110 moduļus. Katrā no tiem ir 6 akumulatori,” stāsta A. Dambis. „Winston Battery” sūtījums ietilpa 28 kastēs ar iespaidīgu kopējo svaru – 2,4 tonnas.

„Winston Battery” akumulatori kopā ar vadības iekārtām un elektromotoriem tuvākajā laikā tiks uzstādīti uz Nissan Navara bāzes veidotā testa automobilī, lai pārbaudītu visas galvenās OSCar eO sacīkšu auto elektriskās komponentes un funkcijas reālos apstākļos. Vienlaikus akumulatoru moduļi tiks iebuvēti topošajā OSCar eO, kura karkass jau ir pilnībā sametināts. Automašīnas tapšanai turpmāk būs iespējams sekot internetā, mājaslapā http://oscareo.lv.
"Winston Battery" akumulatori OSCar rāmī
Kā jau iepriekš ziņots, OSCar eO projekta mērķis ir sasniegt finišu planētas grūtākajās izturības sacīkstes „Dakara 2012” un uzvarēt „alternatīvās enerģijas” ieskaites klasē. Izmantojot divus jaudīgus neodīma magnētu elektromotorus ar kopējo jaudu 180 kW, OSCar eO spēs attīstīt ātrumu 140 km/h, bet akumulatoru papildu uzlādi garajos Dakaras ātrumposmos nodrošinās iekšdedzes dzinējs. A. Dambis papildina informāciju ar jaunākajiem aprēķiniem: „OSCar eO pavisam būs iebūvēti 192 Winston akumulatori ar kopējo enerģijas ietilpību 61 kWh. To kopējais svars būs 672 kg, savukārt tilpums – 422 litri.”
